Tadoba Tiger Safari Rates Increased From October 1, Tourists Face Higher Costs

Nagpur: A jungle safari at the Tadoba-Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR) will become costlier starting October 1, 2025, as the management has announced revised rates under the management quota. The new charges are expected to pinch the pockets of middle-class families who frequently visit the reserve, known worldwide for its rich biodiversity and tiger sightings.
TATR, one of India’s most popular tiger reserves, attracts wildlife enthusiasts, nature lovers, photographers, and celebrities alike. The hike comes just ahead of the reopening of safaris after the four-month monsoon break.

- Entry Fee: ₹4,600
- Guide Fee: ₹700
- Vehicle Fee: ₹3,300

Earlier, the core area safari fees were ₹7,600 on weekdays and ₹11,600 on weekends, while buffer zone charges stood at ₹6,300 on weekdays and ₹9,300 on weekends.
Mixed Reactions from Tourists
The steep hike has triggered concerns among tourists, particularly local and middle-class visitors, who may now find the experience less affordable. However, officials argue that the revised rates are justified given TATR’s global recognition and the rising popularity of its buffer zones. These areas are famous for sightings of iconic tigers like Maya, Sonam, Matkasur, and Chota Matka.
The Tadoba jungle safari officially resumes on October 1, and visitors will be required to pay the updated rates already listed on the official TATR website.
